go Dan has experience in master planning, programming, condition surveys, and concept design on a variety of projects, with a focus on serving K-12 and higher education clients. Dan is an active member of several organizations, including the American Institute of Architects and the Society for Campus and University Planning.

Victor Valenote, AIA, CEFPI, LEED AP

Since joining BDS, Victor has honed his expertise in the design of academic environments specific to the Alaskan landscape. He incorporates his extensive experience with educational spaces while listening to the individual needs and vision of each community to offer a thoughtful approach to a project's unique context and dynamics.
Eric Spangler, RA
For more than 15 years, Eric has specialized in the planning and programming of a variety of facility types throughout Alaska, including his AIA-award-winning work for the Palmer Plant Material Center. He leads both the Career Technical Education (CTE) Program as well as the Multi-Family Housing division for BDS.
Eric listens to clients and translates goals into design solutions that are technically progressive as well as functional. He believes in the holistic application of universal design standards so that all users have an equal opportunity to experience as space.
John Stadum, RIEI, Roof Technology Group Manager
John, who joined BDS in 2008, has worked in Alaska as an architectural designer and project manager since 1979 and has specialized in commercial roof design since 1990. Prior to his architectural design experience he worked in construction for eight years and mechanical engineering drafting and design for three years. John belongs to the Roof Consultants Institute (RCI) and the Western States Roofing Contractors Association (WSRCA). Much of his early roof design education was through the Roofing Industry Educational Institute (RIEI).
